Jeff Chaffin

Founder & Head of School

After spending decades leading technology companies through periods of extraordinary growth, including helping build organizations that would eventually become publicly traded on NASDAQ, Jeff had achieved what many professionals spend a lifetime pursuing. He had built businesses, led teams, and developed organizations where culture, leadership, and vision determined long-term success.

But after years in the corporate world, he found himself asking a different question. "What kind of work allows me to make a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of as many children and families as possible?" The answer came unexpectedly, not in a conference room, but inside a Montessori classroom. As he watched his wife, Maria Eva, work with children year after year, Jeff witnessed something he had rarely seen in business: lives changing in ways that could not be measured on a spreadsheet, children who had struggled to find confidence, discovered their own capabilities; families who had once felt overwhelmed, found hope; education wasn't simply teaching academics, it was changing the trajectory of people's lives.

One experience, in particular, stayed with him. After becoming close with a family whose child had flourished under Maria's guidance, Jeff and Maria were invited into their home for a family celebration. Hanging above the fireplace was a framed photograph of Maria, not as decoration, but as a tribute to someone who had permanently changed their family's story. That moment became impossible to ignore.

Jeff realized he had spent years helping organizations grow. Now he wanted to help build something whose greatest measure of success would be the lives it touched. Leaving behind the career he had known was not a spontaneous decision. It was a deliberate choice to invest his experience, leadership, and entrepreneurial background into a mission he believed could impact generations.

Today, as Cofounder and Head of School at Seeds of Life Montessori Academy, Jeff brings together two worlds that rarely meet: the strategic discipline of an executive and the heart of a servant leader. His philosophy is simple: exceptional schools are built the same way any exceptional organization is built, by creating a culture where people feel valued, inspired, and united by a common purpose. Every hiring decision, every operational improvement, every long-term investment is guided by one question: Will this create a better experience for our children and our families?

Parents often discover that what makes Seeds of Life different extends far beyond its classrooms. Jeff has worked intentionally to cultivate a community where families feel known, teachers feel supported, and children are welcomed as individuals from the moment they walk through the doors.

As a father of three sons, Jeff understands that every family arrives with its own hopes, challenges, and dreams. His personal experiences raising children with different personalities, learning styles, and educational journeys have deepened his belief that no two children should ever be expected to follow the same path. Every child deserves to be seen for who they are and encouraged to become who they are capable of becoming.

For Jeff, education is ultimately about relationships. It is about creating a place where parents know they have true partners, where children feel safe enough to become confident, and where every decision is made for the right reasons, not because it is the easiest or the most profitable, but because it is what serves children best.

If you ask Jeff why he chose to leave a successful corporate career to build a Montessori school, his answer is remarkably simple: "For the first time in my life, I get to be part of something that can truly change the course of a child's life, and there is no greater privilege than that."
