    Position Overview

    We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Lead / Co-Lead Montessori Teacher to join our Primary/Casa community full-time. You will help design and deliver a holistic Montessori curriculum for children aged 3–6, working collaboratively with fellow guides to foster a rich environment of learning, independence, and community.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Create, implement, and guide developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons that address each child’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs.
    • Observe and assess the progress of each child, fostering individualized learning plans and maintaining clear documentation and communication with families.
    • Cultivate a calm, orderly, and inspiring classroom environment where children can work independently, engage with materials freely, and internalize Montessori principles.
    • Work in close collaboration with your co-guide and support staff to maintain the prepared environment and classroom routines.
    • Apply inclusive teaching practices that honor and support neurodivergent learners, with access to school-provided resources and training in neuroinclusive education.
    • Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent education forums.
    • Uphold the Montessori philosophy through interpersonal interactions—with children, families, and colleagues—with grace, respect, empathy, and authenticity.

    Qualifications

    • Montessori credentialing from an accredited program (AMI, AMS, etc.) in the 3–6 level preferred.
    • Experience as a Lead or Co-Lead Teacher in a Montessori setting, ideally with children ages 3–6.
    • Strong understanding of child development and the Montessori Method.
    • Commitment to inclusive practices and a willingness to support neurodiverse learners.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a cooperative and reflective approach to teamwork.
    • A lifelong learner who brings creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and integrity to the classroom.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.

    Position Overview – Substitute Teacher

    Substitute Teachers at Seeds of Life Montessori Academy provide support and continuity of learning when classroom guides are absent. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and a love for working with children in a Montessori, neuroinclusive environment.


    Responsibilities

    • Follow lesson plans and routines provided by classroom guides
    • Support a calm, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
    • Maintain student safety and uphold school policies
    • Observe and respond to the needs of all learners, including neurodiverse students
    • Communicate with faculty regarding classroom activities and student progress

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
    • Teaching or substitute teaching experience a plus, but not required
    • Montessori experience a plus, but not required
    • Completion of the State of Florida 40-hour Substitute Training Course a plus, but not required
    • Willingness to begin the State of Florida 40-hour Substitute Training Course is required

  • Junior Elementary Assistant (Grades 1–3)

    We are looking for a Junior Elementary Assistant who brings creativity, warmth, and professionalism to our Lower Elementary community. This role is vital in supporting our "prepared environment" and ensuring that every child feels a deep sense of belonging.


    The Role

    • Observational Spirit: Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a "normalized" classroom community where students develop independence and concentration.
    • Environment Support: Assist in the care of Montessori materials and the preparation of the "indoor and outdoor work" spaces.
    • Connection First: Build empathetic relationships with students, focusing on the "process" of their learning and supporting their individual regulation needs.
    • Bilingual Engagement: Support our bilingual (English/Spanish) environment through daily interactions and modeling of Grace and Courtesy.

    Qualifications

    • Strong communication skills and an observational mindset.
    • A passion for working with children in a neuroinclusive setting.
    • Previous experience in a Montessori or educational setting is preferred but not required; we value a willingness to learn our unique "Connection before Correction" approach.

  • Montessori Interns & Community Volunteers
